CHERRY HILL, NJ , July 28, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The President of Signature, Inc. detailed his team’s efforts to support local cancer charities. He also explained how giving back helps build morale and enhance the firm’s commitment to goal setting.
“We all know someone who has been affected by cancer in some way,” stated Kenneth Weinraub, the President of Signature, Inc. “Even if they haven’t fought it themselves, everyone has a family member or friend who has dealt with the disease. That’s why we were honored to help two local organizations that are raising money and awareness to find a cure.” Signature, Inc.’s team donated $1,000 to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation and donated $25,000 to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.
"When we come together to help organizations such as the Hammonton Cancer Foundation and the Jay Fund, we get a rewarding feeling that motivates us to do even more. "
Weinraub, President
The Hammonton Cancer Foundation raises money to help people battling cancer and their families, using the South Jersey Cancer Fund as its outlet. Many of the group’s members are cancer survivors who understand what is needed when going through the long-term fight against the disease. Weinraub explained, “The South Jersey Cancer Fund has been helping people in our area since 1964. We’re proud to be one of the many companies supporting its mission.”
The Jay Fund was created in 1996 to honor Jay McGillis, a player on head coach Tom Coughlin’s Boston College football team. Coughlin decided to create a foundation that would help families with children battling cancer. In the 21 years since it was founded, the Jay Fund has helped over 4,000 families in Northeast Florida and the New York/New Jersey metro area.
Weinraub commented, “We attended a 5K walk/run event organized by the Jay Fund during the first weekend in June. It was all about raising awareness for what families face when children are diagnosed with cancer. A lot of money was raised as well, and we were happy to add Signature, Inc. to the fund’s list of supporters.”

We also get to enjoy each other’s company away from work, which lends a fresh perspective to our collaborations back at the office.”
Goal setting is a focal point of the Signature, Inc. culture. Supporting worthy causes is another way for team members to challenge themselves to reach even higher. “We’re always looking for ways to set ourselves apart from the competition,” Weinraub added. “That means we set progressively higher benchmarks, both in terms of revenues and the impact we make on our community.”
